Nepal, Anticipatory Action: Impact evaluation

none
This report presents the findings of a rigorous impact evaluation conducted by WFP's Office of Evaluation (OEV), in partnership with the World Bank¡¯s Development Impact Evaluation (DIME) department, focused on anticipatory cash transfers in response to severe flooding in Nepal.

Using a cluster randomized controlled trial, the evaluation compared outcomes between households receiving anticipatory cash assistance and those receiving traditional post-shock support.

The findings contribute to global efforts to improve emergency response and build resilience through forecast-based anticipatory action.
